
And it has various types of EQ emulations and each EQ band can be of a different sort. It can add warming of varoius types of tube and transformer based equipment, which you can mix in to whatever degree you want. compressors, with manual and various types of auto-releases. It has modes for all kinds of FET, VCA, optical, etc. This channel strip is like having $100K in vintage equipment around, or at least emulations thereof. But they are just one type of compressor and EQ. It's not that RenComp/RenEQ suck or anything. You have to live with these things a bit before you really can tell sometimes. But applying the URS plug to the overheads, rooms, snare/tom/kick busses, guitar, and bass, I had hugely better results within a couple hours. I've been working out the production for my next piece, and so far I have drums, bass, and one guitar part (with just junk performances for me to use in working out the production.) I've got a couple weeks of work into that. But within a couple of hours I had some EXTREMELY encouraging results. It's a very complex, hugely feature rich product, so I can only claimed to have barely scratched the outer layer of the surface. BTW, I loaded up the demo of the URS Channel Strip Pro last night and played with it.
